Real chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.)

The real chamomile belongs to the Asteraceae family.

In 1987, real chamomile was chosen as Medicinal Plant of the Year. Even in ancient Egypt, chamomile was known as the flower of the sun god because of its flower shape and was highly valued for its versatile healing properties.

It is common throughout Europe and the temperate zones of Asia Minor, India and Iran. The plant grows in fields, meadows and fallow land.

Blossom products must be repacked in airtight storage containers after receipt of the delivery, as these are sensitive to attack by predators.
