Greek marjoram

(Origanum majorana)

 

The Greek marjoram is very aromatic and tastes spicy and bitter with a slightly sweet note.


The wild form of the marjoram comes from Asia Minor.

The frugal plant spread in North Africa and across the Mediterranean countries.

 

Marjoram is also called sausage herb, bath herb, roast herb, roast herb, garden major, marinated herb, tripe herb, mairan, mairal herb, mairon and miran.
